What stays off the order-tracking page when growth has to come without a code?
Quick answer
Order status, the carrier, and the tracking number stay. A discount code, a second product, a countdown, and a survey stay off. Do not invent a repeat-order percentage. The one link after payment lives on the thank-you page.
Vs other Intelligence guides
| Guide | Job |
|---|---|
| Thank-you link | One link right after payment. Tracking is later, and it has no extra link. |
| Checkout upsell | Before payment. It does not follow the parcel. |
| Left-cart email | People who have not paid. Tracking is for people who have. |
| Post-purchase survey | A later message. Not a module on the tracking screen. |
| Packaging insert | The card in the box. The tracking page does not repeat a coupon from the card. |
| Review request | A later ask. Not a button beside the map. |
| This guide | What stays off the order-tracking page when growth has to come without a code |
Composite operator guidance. Not legal advice on shipping or EmpCo. Do not treat a worksheet order count as a typical repeat rate.
Three blocks. Only status ships.
| Block | What it is | This week |
|---|---|---|
| Status | State, carrier, tracking number | Keep. Use the carrier's own words for the state. |
| Offer | A code, a product tile, a countdown | Remove. |
| Ask | Survey or review button | Move to a later email. Not this screen. |
Staff line: "The page tells them where the box is." If a module needs a code, it does not belong here.
Proof ladder (tracking page)
| What is true this week | You may do | You freeze |
|---|---|---|
| The carrier link works. The order number matches. | Show status only. | A "while you wait" percent. |
| The thank-you page already has one product link | Leave it there. Thank-you link. | Copying that tile onto tracking. |
| You want a survey | Send it later. Survey. | A form under the map. |
| The insert has a code | Fix the insert on its own page. | Repeating the code on tracking "so they see it." |
Tracking kit
- Open a live tracking URL from a real order. List every block that is not status.
- Delete codes, product tiles, and timers.
- Keep the carrier name and the tracking number as the carrier sends them.
- Remove survey and review buttons from this template.
- Check the URL for a coupon parameter. Strip it.
- A person opens one more order and confirms the extra-block count is zero.
| Leave off | Why |
|---|---|
| A tracking-page code | They already paid. The code trains the next order to wait. |
| "Add this before it ships" | That is a second checkout. Checkout upsell already had its moment. |
| A green claim about the route | Claims calculator. The carrier status is not a climate line. |
| A low-stock badge | The parcel is the news. Scarcity is a different page. |
Allow vs banned
| Surface | Allow | Kill |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking page | Status, carrier, number | Code, tile, timer, survey |
| Shipping email | The same status link | A different offer than the page |
| Thank-you page | Its own one link | Moving that link onto tracking |
| Board story | Pages with zero offers | Invented repeat-order percentage |
EmpCo from 27 September 2026 still applies to a green line on the tracking page that also ships in the EU. Do not publish a repeat lift for a quieter tracker.
10-check tracking log (run this week)
Open live orders, not a carrier marketing kit. Log Y/N.
| # | Check | Pass |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Status, carrier, and number visible? | Yes. |
| 2 | Any code on the page or in the URL? | No. |
| 3 | Any product tile? | No. |
| 4 | Any countdown? | No. |
| 5 | Survey absent? | Survey. |
| 6 | Review button absent? | Review request. |
| 7 | Thank-you link not copied here? | Thank-you link. |
| 8 | Shipping email matches the page? | Same status URL. |
| 9 | Insert coupon not repeated? | Insert. |
| 10 | A vendor promised a repeat rate from the tracker? | Ignore. No invented %. |
Fix the template that week. An offer was still there: remove it. Do not invent a repeat-order percentage.
Tracking freeze (labeled example)
Replace every cell from live orders. Do not copy the example as a repeat benchmark.
| Field | Worked example | Your cell |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking template with offers removed | 1 clean template example, or NONE | [template] |
| Orders checked | 8 orders example | [orders] |
| Pages that still show an offer | 3 leftover offer modules example. Remove them. | [offers] |
| Pages that still show a code | 2 leftover codes example. Delete them. | [codes] |
Those cells are worksheet labels. If [template] is NONE, the tracker still sells. Clean it before the next shipment email.
Go / no-go
| Call | When |
|---|---|
| No-go on offers | A code, a tile, a timer, a survey, a review button |
| Go on status only | Carrier block only, URL has no coupon |
| Partial go | Strip the modules today. Keep status. |
Score leftover offers and codes. A repeat rate is not a KPI for the tracker.
The box is the page.
Show where it is. Leave the code, the extra product, and the survey off the tracking screen.
Template fields and 7-day run
| Field | Fill with | Do not invent |
|---|---|---|
[template] | Clean status page, or NONE | A while-you-wait percent |
[carrier] | The live carrier name | A greener route claim |
[signer] | Person who opens a test order | An app that injects tiles |
[markets] | US / EU / UK / both | One climate line per market |
Brief: "Template: [template]. Carrier: [carrier]. Signer: [signer]. Markets: [markets]. If the template is NONE, remove offers before the next email. No code. No repeat %."
- Day 1: Open live tracking pages. Fill [offers] and [codes].
- Day 2: Delete tiles, timers, surveys, and review buttons.
- Day 3: Strip coupon parameters from the URL.
- Day 4: Match the shipping email to the clean URL.
- Day 5: Confirm the thank-you page still has its own rule, not this one.
- Day 6: Check one green line, if any, in the claims calculator.
- Day 7: Open another order. Run the 10-check log.

Where does the survey go?
A later message. Not under the tracking map.
What do we measure if not a repeat %?
